James' Flat Stanley Visits Florida

Florida is called "The Sunshine State." It is a penninsula, surrounded by water on three sides.

Stanley is visiting James' great grandfather, Papa Bear, and his great grandmother, Mame', in Sarasota.

Stanley gets to ride some dolphins that are just his size!

Stanley visited this car museum. It looks like a fun place!

Stanley went to the beach at Siesta Key. Look at that white sand and blue water!

 This is the Ringling Museum. it is an art museum and a circus museum.

There is a lot to see and do at the Ringling Museum. It is fun for kids and families.

Stanley didn't visit Disneyworld on this trip but Papa Bear included some old Disney photos.

Hadley's Flat Stanley Visits Arizona

Stanley visited Randy and Tina in Flagstaff, Arizona.

  Arizona is a southwestern state. It is the sixth largest state in the country!

Is that Stanley riding the bucking bronco?

Arizona's nickname is the Grand Canyon State. The Grand Canyon is the longest and deepest canyon in North America!

Sedona is known for its red sandstone formations.

 

It is sometimes called "Red Rock Country."

Stanley is staying in Flagstaff. Flagstaff has a famous observatory. In 1930, Pluto was discovered at the Lowell Observatory.

Arizona has some wonderful state parks. Many people like to visit them.

 

 

These interesting animals can be found in some of the state parks.

They are very different from our Maine animals!

A visit to the Grand Canyon would be an amazing experience!

and maybe Stuttgard, Germany and Barcelona, Spain...

or possibly St. Petersburg, Russia. Just be back by the end of the school year Stanley!
