Lauren's Flat Stanley Visits Bruehl, Germany

Germany is a beautiful country in western Europe. The capital of Germany is Berlin.

Stanley is visiting the Sodemann family, Felix, Maximilian, Marion, and Klaus.

It looks like Stanley is helping out with the cooking! She is wearing her chef's hat and apron! Looks yummy, Stanley and Sodemann family!

Stanley is ready for a game of chess.

 It's your move, Stanley!

Klaus sent news of how Stanley spent his time with family and friends in Germany!

Happy Mother's Day!  Marion is enjoying breakfast in bed!

 Yum! Fresh strawberries!

Stanley was happy to try muesli.

Stanley has been watching this blackbird sitting on her nest!

More delicious food for Stanley!

I hope you didn't eat that all by yourself, Stanley!

It's nice to see the boys helping Stanley take good care of her teeth.

The Sodemann family gave Stanley a nice going away party and invited the neighbors. The boys look like they are ready for a trip to the American west!

Stanley is ready for the long trip back to the U.S.
In fact, she has arrived safely back to our classroom.

Gracie's Flat Stanley in the South Pacific
Gracie's Flat Stanley (Flat Sally) has had an amazing adventure with Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Jackie. She flew from Knoxville, Tennessee to Atlanta, Georgia to Los Angeles, California to Sydney, Australia. After two days in Sydney, they sailed on a huge cruise ship called Voyages of the Seas. They traveled from island to island in the South Pacific and across the equator to Hawaii. They went to Fiji, Noumea, Mystery Island, Vanuata, The Isle of Pines, and New Caledonia. After a trip to Brisbane, Australia to visit friends, they sailed on another ship, The Millennium back to Fiji and on to Morea, Bora Bora, Tahiti and Hawaii. It was an amazing trip!

Sally is ready to go surfing in Hawaii.

Sally is playing a nice Hawaiian tune on the ukulele.
Sally thinks Ms. LaRosa would like this cup of coffee!

More Fun for Collin's Stanley in
Washington D.C.
Stanley is off on more adventures with Josh. You can check back in the older post to see some of what Stanley and Josh have already been up to.
Josh writes:
Hi Collin,
I hope you are doing well. Here are some pictures from a couple more Smithsonian museums we have been to over the last couple of of weeks. Stanley will be headed back to Maine soon. We just have a couple more fun places to visit.

                                                                                                Your Friends,
                                                                                                Josh and Stanley

A Great view of the capital of our country!

We went to the American Indian Museum. It is the newest Smithsonian museum.

The outside of the museum is made of limestone. It is supposed to look like a natural rock formation. Very cool!

Stanley found a Native American canoe in the lobby. It was very big!

We visited the U.S. Botanical Garden. It is a museum all about plants. They have everything from the smallest flower to huge trees.

Stanley particularly liked these beautiful tulips!

Stanley and Josh found a lot of spiky cacti at the garden. Stanley didn't want to get too close.
